What I did?
I was a Celebrity Photographer in London shooting mainly the Central London area
and specialised in the Female Celebrities.
When:
I shot from 29 May 2012 to 30 June 2015
Where:
All the celebritiy photography that I undertook, was all located in Central London with the odd exception here and there.
First Event:
The Glamour Women of the Year Awards held on 29 May 2012 in Berkeley Square, Mayfair in Central London. Still wet behind the ears in Celebrity Photography terms and didn't have a clue but came away with some superb photos in the end.
Types of Event:
A broad spectrum of events were covered in Central London including Film Premier’s, Film Screenings, Q and A, Awards Events and other Red Carpet Events, TV and Radio Station arrivals, London Fashion Week, Promotional Events and Product Launches, PR Events such as Store Openings and Xmas Events, Hotel Arrival and Departures and more.
People you meet:
Beyond obviously the stars from A Lister right through to the up and coming, you meet a broad spectrum of people involved either directly or indirectly in the entertainment and showbiz industry including:
Concierge, Chauffeurs, PR, Security, other photographers, other hotel staff, news reporters, fans, autograph hunters, event organisers, red carpet layers, barrier installation staff,, lighting crew the list goes on an on.
Stars Met:
| Ella Eyre |
Can’t remember the exact number, but certainly over 1000 stars were met, probably more. Just off the top of my head, stars photographed include Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Scherzinger, Victoria Beckham, Ellie Goulding…….I could go on and on here..... but you get the idea.
Gear:
Retro by todays standards, reasonably cutting edge at the time
Camera: Canon 30d with a whopping 8mp yes 8mp sensor
Lens: Canon 50mm f1.8 (the Nifty Fifty) in later years went more wide angle.
Flash: Canon 540EZ An old film flash that you shoot in manual only! An absolute beast of a flash!
Last Event:
The Magic Mike XXL premier hotel departures at the Claridges Hotel in Mayfair, Central London. Amber Heard and Christian Bale, plus the Director and one other supporting star were there. Bizarre night ,but little did I know at the time, that this was the last time I would be taking photos of celebrities in any shape or form........ EVER!
What Happened Next:
Moved briefly into women’s fashion including Street Style, then moved onto Street Photography, then started experimenting with Fine Art Street Photography, which then led to Black and White and the arty street stuff that I shoot to this day.
Where can we see more of your work?
